The CMIT blue Schoeps Colette CMC 1 Microphone Amp, MK 41 Supercardioid Condenser Capsule, and Low-Cut Filter is a space-saving Colette Series modular supercardioid condenser microphone bundle with a low-cut filter that can be inserted between the capsule and amplifier.
This mic bundle is designed to provide consistent directionality, reduced infrasonic disturbances, and transparent, low-distortion sound pickup of dialog, foley, and instruments in film, television, and music production. Tonally and visually, it perfectly pairs with an existing CMIT 5 or MiniCMIT microphone (available separately).
It includes the CMC 1 miniature microphone amplifier, the MK 41 condenser capsule, the CUT 60 low-cut filter, a foam windscreen, a stand clamp, and a custom Peli 1015 case. Thanks to the inclusion of the ultracompact CMC 1, this bundle serves as a lighter and smaller alternative to the CMC 6 without compromising sonic performance.
It features a balanced XLR output, compliance with 12V or 48V phantom power, and low current consumption. Its Schoeps RFI Shield provides high immunity from RF interference for a clean, low-noise signal. The CMC 1 supports the high maximum SPLs tolerated by the various MK mic capsules (available separately).
- Complete alternative to the renowned CMC 6 amplifier
- Can be used in place of the CMC 6 with no compromise
- Electrical characteristics of the CMC 1 are equal to, or even better than, those of the CMC 6
- 1.4" long (about a third the size of the CMC 6)
- 1.3 ounces (about 40% lighter than the CMC 6)
- Fully compatible with all existing MK capsules and Colette active accessories such as the CUT 60 and RC tubes
- Very high immunity from RF interference with the Schoeps RFI Shield
- Includes mic clip for easy attachment to a mic stand
- Suspension mounts such as the Rycote INV-6 are available separately
- Designed for use with Schoeps Colette microphone amplifiers
- Ideal for music and speech
- Supercardioid polar pattern with highly consistent directionality throughout its frequency range
- High directivity comparable to that of a short shotgun microphone up through midrange frequencies
- Off-axis sound is attenuated even more than with a cardioid polar pattern
- Decreased susceptibility to acoustic feedback
- Requires no tools for installation
- Recommended for use with the MK 41 capsule on a boom
- Can be screwed between MK capsules and CMC amplifier
- Effective suppression of low-frequency wind noise and mechanical noise
- Steep filter (24 dB/octave)
- The frequency range that most speech occurs in remains unaffected
- Acoustic foam
- For moderate distances from the person speaking
- Can be used on directional or omnidirectional transducers
- Negligible effect on sound quality
