Mount an external monitor to the top cold shoe mount, a shotgun microphone on the side, and still be able to use your camera's shoe mount for a fill light. The rubberized grip provides an extra point of hand contact to smooth out your video footage. Attach the bracket to your camera with the 1/4"-20 screw and then to a tripod with the 1/4"-20 thread.
