The chassis is made of a lightweight and durable aluminum alloy wrapped in a protective armor that provides a slip-resistant grip—especially in cold and wet weather. The optical tubes are nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to be resistant to internal fogging and also waterproof and submersible to 16'—so the X-active will fair better than you if they tumble into a stream or pond.
