AVMATRIX SC-2030 Overview

Combining capabilities usually reserved for a computer controlled converter the SC2030 3G-SDI/HDMI Scaling Cross Converter from AV Matrix is a compact device that features a video cross converter and scaler all in one. The SC2030 features both an HDMI and a 3G-SDI input, and can cross convert either signal to the other. It also features a 3.5mm analog audio input which can be embedded into your output signal. The built-in scaler and frame rate converter each allow you to convert the input signal to your required output standard.

The SC2030 features one HDMI output and two 3G-SDI outputs, controllable via selectable conversion modes accessed by DIP switches, providing you with a variety of modes to fit your needs. It can also be controlled using a Windows computer with AV Matrix software via the micro-USB port, which is also used to power the unit. Dual threaded locking connectors allow you to power the unit with external power supplies for redundancy.

The SC2030 is my go to when I find myself in a new environment. This converter allows to up/down/cross convert from HDMI or BNC sources to 1 HDMI or 4 x BNC outs. can this convert incoming H265 to H264 signal output?

The AVMATRIX SC2030 3G-SDI/HDMI Scaling Cross Converter can support an H.265 signal in and an H.264 signal out, though this would be a codec conversion that's dependent on the software being used. This converter would only do resolution and framerate conversion.

Can these be left in permanent setups for long periods without power cycling? Other converters have given us issues.

Can Convert a 1080 59.94i signal via HDMI and output it as 1080 30p to HDMI and/or SDI?

Chris H. from B&H, I'm seeing now in the specs for this devise, the following HDMI inputs it accepts: 1080p at 23.98/24/25/29.97/30/50/59.94/60 fps 1080i at 50/59.94/60 fps Does this not cover the 1080 59.94i signal input? I'm trying to get a better signal out of some older CAnon C100MKII cinema cameras that seem to only output a 1080 59.94i signal for some reason.

Yes, the AVMATRIX SC2030 3G-SDI/HDMI Scaling Cross Converter is able to take in a 1080p signal at 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 50, 59.94, or 60 fps and convert it to 1080i at 50, 59.94, or 60 fps.

Yes, the AVMATRIX SC2030 3G-SDI/HDMI Scaling Cross Converter will simultaneously output on both HDMI, and SDI when using the HDMI input.

The manual states it supports both SDI "A" and "B". But there is no dip switch to force one over the other. It must auto detect
