Saramonic 1/8 / 3.5 mm TRRS Male to Lightning... Overview

The 3" Saramonic SR-C2002 adapter cable allows you to connect a multitude of audio sources and equipment to the Lightning port of an iOS device. This versatile audio input adapter accepts the 3.5mm TRRS male output jack on microphones, wireless microphone receivers, audio recorders, and mixers, enabling you to capture audio directly into your iPhone or iPad. While TRS devices are supported, such as headphones, this adapter does not support 3.5mm TRS microphones.

The SR-C2002 can also be used as a fully operational 3.5mm headphone port, sending and receiving headphone audio, microphone audio, and earbud remote-control commands.

The cable provides plug-in power to microphones, which is needed for operating on-camera mics that are not self-powered via a battery. It is terminated with a 3.5mm TRRS female connector on one end and an MFi-certified lightning connector at the other. Built to last, both connectors are gold-plated to resist corrosion and provide a reliable audio signal.

I bought these as a substitute for my Apple iPhone adapter and they control my Shure earbuds the same as the Apple product so I’m quite happy

Does this work for connecting iphone to a mixer ...

Does this work for connecting iphone to a mixer and using to place a phone call?
Asked by: Jeffrey
As long as you have a mixer with a 3.5mm TRRS input/output, then yes. Many newer mixers do, like a mixer that I have from Zoom. If not have a TRRS in/out port on your mixer you will need a proper splitter that splits the audio out from the mixer into the SR-C2003 and the audio out of the SR-C2003 from the phone call. The Azden i-Coustics HX-Mi is perfect for the splitter you will need: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1030239-REG/azden_hx_mi_cbl_audio_adapter_with.html

Will this work with a Sennheiser MKE 440 stereo microphone? If not, do you sell one that will?
Asked by: Jeffrey
No, the Saramonic SR-C2002 3.5mm TRRS Female to Lightning Adapter Cable for Audio to/from iPhone (3") BH #SASRC2002 is not compatible with the Sennheiser MKE 440. You can make it work in stereo by using the Saramonic LC-C35 Locking 3.5mm Connector to Apple-Certified Lightning Output Cable BH #SALCC35 along with the Hosa Technology GMM303 3.5mm Female Stereo Mini to 3.5mm Female Stereo Mini Adapter BH #HOASMFSMF.

If perhaps I want to go on musical Facebook live, can I use this chord and pick all my audio from the mixer directly and the output on Facebook page will be as neat and the output from the speakers?
Asked by: Williams
No. The Saramonic SR-C2002 3.5mm TRRS Female to Lightning Adapter Cable for Audio to/from iPhone is intended for use with a microphone or a mic level signal. The output signal from a mixer is line level which is much louder than mic level, so you will need to use an attenuator or level matching cable between the mixer and Saramonic Lightning adapter in order to pad the line level signal from the mixer and bring it down to mic level if you want to connect it to an iPhone. If your mixer has XLR outputs, you can use a cable like the Sescom Dual Female XLR to 3.5mm TRRS Plug - Line to Mic Level Summing Cable for Mobile Devices - 12" (B&H # SEIPSUMXLR12). If your mixer has RCA outputs, you can use the Sescom Stereo RCA to 3.5mm TRRS Plug Line to Mic Level Summing Cable for Mobile Devices - 12" (B&H # SEIPSUMRCA12). If your mixer has 1/4" output, you can use the Sescom Dual 1/4" Phone Plug to 3.5mm TRRS Plug Line to Microphone Summing Cable - 3' (B&H # SEIPSUMTS3). Does this do the exact same thing as the Apple lightning to 3.5mm headphone adapter or is there something different about this 1?

It is designed for a better quality TRRS microphone input for a better recording with apps than the Apple adapter which is designed primarily for headphones and using the microphone on calls.

Bidirectional signal? Will it work with AirPods max? If it has an analog to digital converter to use on an airplane. (Audio output from 3.5mm input to lightning)
Asked by: Ryan
Tried using the cable to connect an external TRRS wired microphone to an iPhone. Never worked properly, too much crackling interference on recordings. Ended up buying a new microphone with direct Lightning connection.
