Can this charger re-charge rechargeable AA batteries left inside the transmitter or can it only re-charge Shure battery packs?

According to the description, multiple chargers can be physically linked together. Does the ability exist to daisy chain the power or does each dual-charger needs it's own cable running to an outlet or USB connection?

USB connection allows Daisy-Chaining, without the need to run additional electrical outlet cords.
