From Manufacturer
The DX220 MAX Reference Portable Digital Audio Player from iBasso features dual SABRE ES9028PRO DAC chips and a discrete amp circuit to help provide you with clear, high-resolution audio playback when on the go. The DX220 MAX also doubles as a hi-end USB DAC for use with your computer, featuring an XMOS USB receiver with Thesycon USB driver, five femtosecond oscillators, with two being Accusilicon ultra low power noise femtosecond oscillators, PCM support up to 32-bit/384 kHz, and native DSD up to DSD512.
Using optocouplers and I2C isolators, the digital and analog sections of the DX220 MAX are isolated from each other and are powered independently. The amp is also powered independently with its own +/-8.4V battery to help ensure purity of sound and maximum current output. Based on the AMP8 module, the super class-A amp circuit does away with the switching distortion of transistors, which works to significantly reduce heat generation. There are also a variety of film capacitors used in the DX220 MAX, such as Kemet polymer tantalum, Toshin UTSJ, Panasonic, Nichicon Audio Electronic, and Amtrans PET.
All of this high-end audio technology is run by an octa-core CPU with 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM. Interfacing with the DX220 MAX is done via the 5" 1080p HD touch display and the Android operating system. iBasso includes their Mango OS as another option for music-focused operation. A new UI has been created to provide a professional look while still being easy to understand and use. For app and music storage, you can use the DX220 MAX's large 128GB of built-in memory, which can be expanded via a microSD card.
