Connect your smartphone or other compatible device to the RODECaster Pro with the RODE SC9. The SC9 is a high-quality cable with two 3.5mm TRRS connections. It measures 4.9' long. If you use a protective case on your phone, there's a good chance this won't fit unless you remove the case. The plug itself is much larger than usual and doesn't seat properly unless your case has a truly large audio port opening. Take a look at the product photo. Bad design in my opinion. Every other headphone plug fits through the hold in my case . . . but not this one. So . . . ensure compatibility but also frustration by purchasing this overpriced Rode cable, or buy something else which may not be compatible, but will fit your phone case, and cost half as much. You decide! There's no circuitry in this right? So how could another TRRS cable not be compatible unless it's mechanically defective? Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm on the fence about returning, but probably will.
When you buy a cable, you want it to work as intended. This one does. I needed something to connect my iPhone to my Rodecaster Pro. I didn't want to test a dozen different products or talk to tech support or read technical manuals. I just wanted to plug one end of the cable into the Rodecaster and the other into my phone and for it to work. It did. End of review ;-)
