The Duo LCD Charger for L & M Series Batteries from Watson conveniently charges two batteries simultaneously, drawing power from either an AC wall source (an AC cord with two-prong plug is included) or a 12/24V DC power source (a DC car charger is also included). Additionally, the Duo Charger features a USB power output that supports up to a 2A draw to charge and power smartphones, digital cameras, and other devices with a USB power input.
The interchangeable battery plate system allows you to charge other camcorder-type batteries by swapping out the included plates for different camera plates (not included). The intelligent charger features an LCD screen that graphically shows charge status for both batteries. The charger also features a test button that allows you to test batteries when the unit is not plugged into power, to see their remaining power as a percentage of their capacity. The test button will also switch the display between battery capacity and charging voltage.

Dual-Bay Charger
Charge two batteries simultaneously and independently. This allows you to charge two batteries with different capacities or charge status at the same time.
LCD Display
The LCD screen shows charging status and charging voltage, as well as the voltage for car and USB charging.
USB Output
The charger has a built-in USB port that outputs 5 VDC at up to 2A, allowing you to power and charge mobile phones, digital cameras, and other related devices with a USB power input, even while you're charging your digital camera or camcorder batteries.
Test Button
Test the charge of a battery even with the Duo Charger unplugged by sliding the battery into the charging plate and pressing the test button. Press the button a second time to display the voltage of the battery.

I've had two of these and used them for years. Mostly at weddings I would have them as a place to charge up while working. Worked great for 6 to 8 years. Now, all of a sudden, they don't work. It will show a battery is 100% charged but then when you put it in your camera it's not charged at all. A BIG problem when relying on chargers to supply you with power throughout a wedding day.

I have noticed that the charger (DLC) displays different battery capacity depending on charging bay used: right and left. For example: same battery shows 100% capacity when tested in the right charging bay but it shows only 95% when it tested in left charging bay. It means the left bay will never give a 100% capacity? What is the reason for this inconsistency?
I contacted the distributor "The Gradus Group" via email and they contacted the developer who confirmed that its not normal. The battery capacity measurement results in both charging bays for the same battery must be identical.
