When buying the Rode VideoMic X, there is really only one option for XLR cables. We're very lucky that these are such high quality, and produce perfect results. The length is a little short, so if you want to record to an external recorder, you essentially need to mount the recorder to the mic. But the connections are rock solid, the cable itself is very high quality and overall im very impressed with the audio quality.
