How much weight can this bear? Can it hold a communion cup as well as a tumbler filled with water?
The manufacture does not provide the weight that the LanParte Adjustable Tray for Tripods & Light Stands BH #LASMT01 can support. However it is made to support Sound Mixers & Other Gears, so I would assume it will support a communion cup and a tumbler filled with water.

On your website, it does not show how wide the clamps "mouth opening"?
I did not find it to have a mouth so wide as the other respondent. For me it almost fit on a 35mm pole but only if you had the screw so far back that the threads were no longer in the whole to be able to put pressure with the clamp. I think for anything under 35mm you will be golden though, it's very nicely made, esp. for the price.
