This shoe is very well made and machined. Unfortunately the shoes on each of the three sides are too narrow to fit a Canon EL-5 flash or a Profoto A1. I used a Dremel grinder to open us the space between the two side fingers on top - that made it possible to mount the flash in the cold shoe. I really appreciate the 1/4-20 threads on both sides that allowed for tandem shooting of two flashed. Two SmallRig double ball heads (B&H#SM1135) with a screw tightening cold shoe added made this very useful. Added a 1/4-20 jam nut to prevent unscrewing when the overhung weight of the flash tries to unscrew on the left side. So far it's holding up very well.

Is this large enough for the rode wireless go ii? I know the cold shoe will fit, but I have a similar triple cold shoe that's too small and the transmitters ovehang too much to fit all 3 on
Three RODE Wireless Go II receivers or transmitters will not fit on this mount adapter.

Will this work with a SmallRig cage for a GoPro camera?
Yes, The Ulanzi 3 Cold Shoe On-Camera Mount Adapter will work with Smallrig GoPro cages. As long as the cage has a Shoe mount. From our review most of the Smallrig GoPro cages include an integrated Shoe mount.
