Lume Cube Panel Go Overview

The Panel GO Bi-Color LED Light Panel Broadcast Lighting Kit from Lume Cube combines the compact Panel GO LED light with a desktop stand, a suction cup, and a 6' USB Type-C charging cable. Designed for video, photo, and webcam use, the Panel GO features a 3200 to 5600K adjustable color temperature, 112 bi-color LEDs, and 1 to 100% dimming in increments of 5%. The maximum brightness output is 1050 lux when measured at 1.8'.

An intelligent LCD on the rear of the Panel GO displays the color temperature, brightness level, remaining runtime, and battery level. At 100% brightness, the light runs for approximately 1.3 hours, and at 50% for 2.3 hours. The Panel GO is charged via its USB Type-C port and can be used while charging. Design features include an aluminum build, a built-in diffusion panel, and side control buttons.

The Broadcast Light Kit's included desktop stand telescopes from 6 to 30" and features a 360° rotating ball head for optimal positioning. The included suction cup can be used to mount the Panel GO on your desktop or laptop.

I got one unit a while ago and ordered a second one. I use it for tabletop setups and flower photography. I gave it 4 stars because the first unit had charging problems. B&H shipped a replacement that works well.

All I can say is wow, what a great system. I have been struggling to get the right lighting for my Zoom calls and previously used ring lights. I could never get the lighting right and also was annoyed they glared off my glasses. This kit is easy to set up and manage and provides good quality lighting for my business calls-takes it to a more professional level and quality.

Light is dead after 1.5 months of use

Using Lume Cube for about 1.5 months and it has stopped working. Period. Have gone through all troubleshooting and nothing works. The light cuts out literally after just a few seconds and despite resetting and everything else recommended as possible fixes, it's no better. A total waste of ~ $90.00. Really not happy with this product or purchase. Also, now I'm without the lighting I need for my work.

I took this to a shoot of a rehearsal of an upcoming play by a local theater company. The stage wasn't lit yet, so this added a kiss of light in the shadows without resorting to the old school flash (I have never liked the look of on camera flash photos!

I was hoping to use these for fill lighting for interviews. They don't last long enough and aren't powerful enough for my kind of professional use. If you combine 3 of them they make a nice outdoor fill light for one person for about 35 minutes before the battery runs out. One broke on 2nd use just turning it on, so not liking much about them.

Great option for the cost.

Does this kit enable you to mount the Lume Cube Panel on your camera hot shoe?

The "Lume Cube Panel Go & Ball Head Camera Mount with 3/8"-16 Light Stand Adapter" configuration of this product includes a hot-shoe compatible mount - BUT it's only a physical attachment, NOT an electrical connection. But with steady light output from the Lume Cube, your camera should use the available light it produces to calculate a proper exposure.

One can attach the Lume Cube Panel directly onto a hot shoe, using a proper hot shoe adapter with a 1/4 20"screw (not for power -- just as a mounting option), but not with the entire telescoping stand, which would cause too much strain on the mount, in addition to being a balancing accident waiting to happen.

I use a standard USB wall quick charger with usbC and it works well. You can use with USB 3.0 as well attached to a computer. You can charge while using with both.

It will mount on anything with a standard 1/4"- 20 thread. A standard light stand would just need a thread adapter.

Using the panel while connected to a charger seems to interrupt the charging process, but with 1 hour + time at max. brightness after a full charge, I don't see this to be much of an issue.
