Watson Duo LCD Battery Charger for Sony NP-FW50 Rechargeable Battery

Works just as advertised.  Versatile design

This charger works great. Having dual charging capabilities is vital. I always bring extra batteries and the ability to charge 2 at once is very much appreciated. And this Watson system with the ability to replace the plates is a great design. This particular unit is made to work with the NP-FW50 batteries so it comes with plates for that battery and it works flawlessly. But you can also purchase plates (adapters) so this charger works with other batteries, like the NP-FZ100's. You can see from the pictures I uploaded, I have the charger charging an FW50 and an FZ100 at the same time and the charger automatically adjusts the voltages necessarily for both accordingly. I love that flexibility. There is no need to bring a bunch of battery specific chargers. You can just bring one or 2 of these chargers, and the variety of plates you need for your different batteries and you are all set. I love that versatility and convenience. It is very helpful and a great addition to my production kit. This charger also has a very informative and well-designed LED screen that keeps you well informed with everything going on. You know the exact percentage of the battery and the volts being used. That is very helpful and appreciated. It also has a battery test feature that can show the remaining power capacity percentage.  Another cool bonus is the USB port on the side for charging other accessories or a phone/tablet. That is a nice bonus feature.   The build quality of this charger is good too. It is made of plastic, which some would criticize, but I like because it keeps the weight down. This is very helpful for travel. it's also small for a duel charger which is also helpful for travel. It comes with a nice strong power cable for a wall outlet, and also a 12 VDC car adapter if you want to charge with a car outlet/cigarette lighter. The batteries fit easily and seat into the slots well, with a satisfying feel when installed. Another nice feature this Watson charger has is integrated detection circuits to protect your camera batteries from overheating, or any other issues. Batteries are expensive, so having a charger that is protecting them when charging is important to me. To summarize, I am very happy with this dual charger. It is a nice size and weight for traveling, it's built well, protective, has a clear and descriptive LED display, and its plate system and USB port makes it very versatile.
