It supports both US and European broadcast video standards and features a 3G/HD/SD-SDI input and a 3G/HD/SD-SDI loop-through output for passing the SDI signal without altering it. Audio embedded in the SDI signal is embedded in the output signals, or you can have the converter de-embed the audio for output via 2 x RCA connectors.

Datavideo DAC-8PA Overview

The Datavideo DAC-8PA SDI to HDMI Converter transforms an SDI video signal along with embedded audio for output on an HDMI output port, which has a support tab. It supports both US and European broadcast video standards and features a 3G/HD/SD-SDI input and a 3G/HD/SD-SDI loop-through output for passing the SDI signal without altering it. Audio embedded in the SDI signal is embedded in the output signals, or you can have the converter de-embed the audio for output via 2 x RCA connectors.

The converter supports video up to 1080p60 and features automatic signal detection as well as automatic signal conversion to HDMI. It is a straight converter, video in to video out, and although it converts signals from SDI to HDMI, it does not change frame rate nor resolution. The converter will equalize and reclock the input signal to provide you with a pristine output signal for maximum wired transmission. Downloadable software allows you to select the audio standard between SMPTE and EBU.
