The overall build quality of this handle is excellent in terms of ergonomics however the trigger for recording broke/stopped working within 2 weeks. Given how often I use the camera, I can't afford any down time. There are several was to start and stop recording so it's not a huge deal but I'd still prefer for it to work.

Would the new RED Komodo X Top Handle fit on top of this side handle?

No, the RED Komodo X Top Handle will not connect to the top of the RED DIGITAL CINEMA KOMODO Outrigger Handle. You would have to choose one or the other handle.

How would I put a Bright Tangerine Top Handle on top of the RED Outrigger? Is there a NATO Rail with correct screw spacing that would be compatible with the RED Outrigger?

The outrigger has mounting holes for mounting gear on top of it. Most nato rails are hollow in the center to allow the mounting screws to slide back/forth as needed. For example you may want to consider SmallRig Quick Release NATO Rail (3.9) B&H # SM1134 MFR # 1134

Is it possible to use this outrigger handle, a top handle, and the RED DSMC3 7" monitor on a Komodo X?

The RED Komodo-X only has one POGO and it will be utilized by the outrigger handle. You can still use a top handle and a monitor, if you select one of the available cages to accessorize with. You will be able to output to the screen via SDI.

This is specifically for the Red Komodo. It will not work with DSMC2 bodies.

no you can not the DSMC system and the Komodo are different systems, DSMC system accessories can not be used on the komodo
