The description states the mat opening is 5x5, however the opening is actually only 4.5x4.5. Because of this, I had to order new mats elsewhere is order for the art I’m framing to work. Outside of that, beautiful frames that are great quality. Would have given 5 stars if not for the inaccurate description (which resulted in additional money spent).
I was hesitant to get these frames because the price was so good and it's hard to judge quality from a picture. The frames are beautiful, though. The problem is that the backing and hanging hardware are not durable enough for hanging. The clips in the back are so loose that the backing and glass do not stay put but fall out upon hanging. I am having to supplement with additional hardware to solidify the backing. If you can do this, these frames are a great buy and look so beautiful.
