Synco KT 8 Windshield Kit

The Synco KT 8 Windshield Kit offers a windscreen, a furry windjammer, and a shockmount situated atop a pistol grip. Use it when you're filming outside to minimize wind and weather-related noise that you'd rather not hear in the shot. It's suitable for location recording and live broadcasting.

The KT 8 accommodates shotgun mics measuring 8.3 to 13" in length, with diameters of 0.75 to 0.86". That's a wide range of microphones indeed, and the built-in lyre clips on the shockmount can be replaced to suit different mic models. An XLR cable is included.

The KT 8's windscreen is fashioned out of plastic, making it both lightweight and tough. The Windjammer uses artificial, high-density fur that can stand up to the elements. All told, the system can reduce wind and handling noise by -25 dB.

The silicone-rubber shockmount has ternary holders for its mic clips, which are fixed by four elastic bands. This allows the mount to absorb shocks, vibration, and handling noise, allowing for smoother recording. A 3/8"-16 mount is provided at the handgrip to mount the pistol grip onto boompoles and similar items.
