The Boya BY-K3 adapter converts a 3.5mm TRRS plug to Lightning for connection to an iPhone or iPad. If you are connecting a dynamic XLR microphone, you can use the Boya adapter together with a cable like the MXL MM-CABLE-1 Female XLR to 3.5mm Male TRRS Cable with 3.5mm Female TRS Adapter - 6' (B&H #MXMMCABLE1) connected to the mic's output. The MXL cable will make your microphone compatible for use with a mobile device and also includes a headphone tap to monitor the audio while recording.
