I wouldn't try this. The B-Box is just a simple output splitter, so there is no power tranformation built-in. Komodo's EXT power output tops out at 0.5 A which is not enough to power a focus motor. The same operating Voltage of 2 devices doesn't mean a thing if you don't know the provided Amps of Komodo's EXT and the required Amps to power a Nano Motor or even a Nucleus-M Motor (which approximately needs 2 Amps@10V). Powering a focus motor from the EXT port may damage your camera. I guess the motors would need the most Amps at 5V and the least Amps at 18V to be within the power draw limits. BTW, I find it highly negligent from the B&H staff to say it will work... Use a V- or Gold-Mount (or another external powering source) to power your focus motors.

The Wooden Camera B-Box for RED KOMODO (B&H# WO280500) essentially converts the EXT port on the RED DIGITAL CINEMA KOMODO 6K Digital Cinema Camera (Canon RF) (B&H# REKOMB) to a USB port, Run/Stop port, Time Code, and Genlock. Since it's just drawing the 500mAh power from the camera for the USB port it will not provide enough power for the 4A-requiring Preston MDR-3. If you can power your MDR-3 from other sources, however, then you can use the other ports on this B-box.

That's not correct as the MoVI Pro can only communicate with Red DSMC2 cameras with the original RCP1 protocol. The MoVI Pro would need to be updated so it can communicate with DSMC3 cameras that have the newer Red Control Protocol 2 (RCP2). Freefly haven't updated the MoVI Pro firmware for years.

Unfortunately the R/S port does not have power available. You can use the USB port to power the nucleus M since it only requires a minimum of 5V.
