Purchased this because I lost my original XY capsule on a shoot, and just listening to the files I was kind of shocked at how much better this microphone sounds compared to the one that comes with the H8. Really crisp and high quality for the price range.

What are the main difference between this model and XY Capsule included with the H8 recorder?

This module allows you to customize the stereo width, versus a fixed 90 degree or 120 degree pickup of the other capsule.

No specs on this mic? Seems like same 90 and 120 degrees as the existing XY capsule, what's really different other than appearance?

This mic is a re-design and improvements include better sensitivity and noise floor spec.

The Zoom XAH-8 X/Y-AB Microphone Capsule for H8 Recorder is not compatible with the Zoom F1, as it's specifically made to work with the Zoom H8 recorder.
