Shure SCM268 Reviews

Works fine for depositions - not perfect though.

Yes, it did improve my sound from using a Zoom H6. Meters could be more accurate though I still use the H6 to record the audio, so I get a 2nd reading there by using a XLR cable splitter - one to my camera and one to the Zoom. Having a limiter in this unit would make it almost perfect - I'd pay another $150 for that. Although, the audio doesn't seem to ever clip when set to around 50% for each channel and master with my lavaliers.

This is great and fool proof . I needed more inputs and with the ablity to piggyback it was perfect. Works very good for interviews and meetings.

Can this Shure SCM262 connected to a ATEM mini for simultaneous video and audio webcasting?
Asked by: Larry
Yes, you can use a cable like BH #KOXRSM015B to go from the XLR Mic/Line output on the Shure SCM268 4-Channel Microphone Mixer into one of the mic inputs on the Blackmagic ATEM Mini. You can use the ATEM Mini controller software to choose whether you want the mixer to come into the ATEM Mini at mic level, or line level.

Has anyone received one of these with the black button for phantom / line / mic not there? Mine has a hole where you insert a pointy object to press to engage. Is this a QC issue or did shure remove to insure it’s not pressed by accident? Thx for your time in advance.
Asked by: Robert
This unit has recessed switches for line/mic level and also for phantom power on/off. Perhaps the rubber covers for those switches are missing on your mixer.

12V phantom power to the mic doesn't seem to be enough for my Shure condenser mic, do you recommend a 48v phantom power mixer model or a pre-amp addon?
Asked by: Alfas
As most condenser mics require 48V as opposed to 12, yes, there should be a 48V source in front of the Shure SCM268 4-Channel Microphone Mixer to connect a condenser mic. A simple solution would be BH #ROMP222 Rolls MP222 Studio Pro Dual-Channel Microphone Preamplifier.
