Nomatic McKinnon Accessory Straps Reviews

A Mixed Bag

I won't bury the lead; these straps work as intended, but they are extremely hard to keep track of. I had a feeling this might be the case, so this particular purchase was meant to provide extras in case I lost the ones that came with my backpack. I lost the ones that came with my backpack... The reason for this is that the straps attach to the bag in such a way that requires they must always be fully tightened. The hard clips at their ends rely on tension to keep them closed, so when they aren't holding something in place, they can be lost rather easily. I lost the first one in a plane's overhead compartment. After moving my tripod to another spot, another bag clipped one and made it fall off, which I didn't notice until later. I lost the another in a similar manner, verifying this was the case. In summary, they work fine, but they can be inconvenient to manage.

Having this extra strap makes a world of a difference when carrying taller items like a tripod or monopod in the McKinnon side pockets—it holds it in place and I haven't had any issues. No complaints.
