I purchased this ball head for the pan feature. I am pleased with the feel of this ball head and the separate pan feature that it has. I have not had it out at night in really cold weather, but I have high hopes that it will perform well.

I was really looking for a quality Ball Head for my tripod that wouldn't break the bank. This Benro GX35 certainly fit the bill. It's smooth, functional, sturdy, strong and very adjustable. At the reasonable price point, the quality appears excellent. I really like this purchase. The test of time and longevity is still to be determined but item comes with a reasonable out of the box warranty. As usual, the purchase experience and shipping through B&H Photo was flawless.

Are the GX series compatible with the MT190CXPRO4 ...

Are the GX series compatible with the MT190CXPRO4 tripods? Is there a pin to lock the ball head in place? Which GX would be best for a Nikon Z6Ii with heaviest lens of z 70-200mm?

Yes, the Benro GX35 is compatible with the MT190CXPRO4 (and any other 3/8"-16 mounting screw tripod). The pin for the ballhead will be on the tripod mounting platform; gentle raise the screw to increase the tension/friction between the tripod and head to secure the head into place. For a Z6ii + 70-200 f/2.8, we recommend either the GX30 or the GX35; the latter of which is better if you foresee getting larger lenses in the future.

Will this head accommodate standard Arca-swiss plates and L-Brackets, such as SmallRig? Also, what is the base diameter?

Certainly! This will fit standard arca-swiss plates/L-brackets without issue. The diameter of the head's base is 51mm/2.00 inches.

The Benro GX35 Two Series Arca-Type Low Profile Aluminum Ball Head is compatible with the Benro MeFOTO GlobeTrotter Pro Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod. However, the base of the head is wide, and the legs might not fold up as compact as it does with the included head.

Will the GX ball head series work on a Manfrotto 190CX tripod? Is there a pin to lock in place on a Manfrotto tripod?

Yes the Benro GX35 is compatible with that tripod. The set screw to keep the head from unscrewing when you are panning is dependent of the tripod though, not the head. The Manfrotto MT190CXPRO3 Carbon Fiber Tripod does have that set screw.
