Is this OK for use with Ilford direct positive paper? It specifies the use of a "dark red" or Ilford 906 safelight.
Asked by: Rob
The Delta 1 Brightlab Universal Red Jumbo Safelight 25 Watt has not been tested with Ilford direct positive paper, but I think it will be safe. However, it would be best to run a test with one sheet.

No, this safelight is for b & w paper only. Film has to be handled in total darkness, whether its b&w or color film.

Will this bulb fit inside a Kodak Adjustable Safelight Lamp Model B?
Asked by: Frank
While we don't have that fixture to test it, that's possible but you would likely need to remove the front filter of the Safelight Lamp Model B in order to get the Delta 1 Brightlab Universal Red Jumbo Safelight 25 Watt (B&H# DESLJR) to fit. Of course, the red coating on the may obviate the use of that filter.

What is the length, and diameter of the bulb so I can determine if it will fit in my bathroom vanity fixture socket. Thanks
Asked by: James
I have never heard of a safelight that is 15+" long. I seriously doubt that I was given the correct answer to my question. Safe lights are never that huge.
