f-stop Navin Overview

Designed for those who need to move and shoot fast, the f-stop Gear Navin Welded Camera Pouch holds and protects your DSLR and larger attached lens with multiple ways to wear it based on your needs, preferences, or the other gear you've got to bring with you.

Its top-loading design and wraparound zipper allow you to get your camera in and out quickly. The bottom of the bag can expand, so when you swap out your shorter lens for a long mounted 70-200mm f/2.8 you can expand the bottom and carry your new rig without compromising protection or changing bags. A separate shallow accessory pocket on the lid gives you an easy place to keep the lens cap, memory cards, or cables with two additional interior pockets for more valuable stuff.

Its exterior is made of a durable proprietary waterproof nylon that offers superior rip and tear resistance, with strong welded seams and panels for durability and longevity. A removable shoulder strap lets you wear the bag as a stand-alone minimalist camera bag, and MOLLE straps on the back allow you to easily connect it to larger bags or belts. There are metal D-rings to mount it on f-stop's Mountain Series shoulder straps, and Gatekeeper attachment points allow you to wear it on your chest.

Interior
  • Holds a DSLR and a mounted lens
  • Roll bottom expands allowing it to accommodate a non-gripped DSLR with a long 70-200mm f/2.8 lens mounted
  • Two interior pockets in lower portion hold accessories or valuable personal items
  • Separate top pocket holds cards, cables, or lens caps
Exterior
  • Proprietary tear/wear/rip-resistant DuraDiamond 315d nylon material is strong, light, and built to last
  • DWR exterior coatings repel water for added protection if you get caught in the rain
  • TPU back layer is waterproof, oil and tear resistant, and weldable for improved build and seam strength
  • Top loading for easier access in a hurry with 2-way zipper
  • Zipper wraps around on three sides for full accessibility
  • Padding on back panel provides comfort, while allowing pack compression when not in use

f-stop Navin Reviews

Ok, But Flawed Design

I like this camera pouch - however - its design is flawed in certain circumstances. When using a lightweight lens (in my case the Z 35mm f/1.8) and a heavier bodied camera (Nikon Zf) and the pouch configured to be in the more compact mode, the center of gravity is too high when using the strap and the bag will always flip upside down and the risk of your camera dumping out if it isn't zipped up is terrifying. The attachment points for the strap are too far down the bag. Otherwise, if I am using a longer heavier lens and the bag is configured to its larger mode it seems to be OK. Yikes!

I was thinking of using this as an urban bag while visiting Korea. I didn't want to drag my F Stop Guru backpack every where in the city. I was hoping I could hang a lens sleeve on it and carry my camera with an installed lens and a second lens. Some of you might be interested to know that this camera pouch will nicely hold a Fujifilm X-T4 with a battery grip, and an attached 50-140mm f 2.8 lens with reversed shade, and an attached Tele 1.4 Extender. That is pretty impressive. And you certainly can hang a lens case on it. Still debating the utility....

Will the EOS R5 with an RF 100-500 with the tripod collar fit?
Asked by: Richard
Yes, f-stop Navin Welded Camera Pouch will fit your Canon R5 with the lens, lens hood, and lens collard precisely. I will recommend turning the lens collard towards the camera handgrip for a better fit.

Has anyone tried using this pouch to carry two smaller lenses? One at the bottom of the pouch, then a small divider, and another small lens attached to the body? I am looking for a chest pack for a Z6 with a 24-120 f/4 and a 14-30 f/4. Thanks.
Asked by: Andrew
For this you may want to wrap the second lens with something like the Domke 15x15" Color Coded Protective Wrap (Blue) BH #DOPW15BL • MFR #722-15U or you could use it as a divider as you mention.

Does this include the straps to wear on the chest with the backpack?
Asked by: Bialik
The f-stop Navin Welded Camera Pouch comes with a shoulder strap which can also be used on the D-rings designed for wearing the pouch on your chest. As an alternative, you may also choose to purchase the f-stop Gatekeeper Straps (2-Piece, Anthracite/Matte Black), B&H # FSM815, as a separate accessory to mount the case on your chest if you are wearing another backpacak or case.

There is no interior suspension system in the f-stop Navin Welded Camera Pouch to hold a camera in place--you can arrange the contents as you wish.

It seems like this may have been answered, but would it fit a mirrorless (Z7) with the 70-200 with lens hood?
Asked by: Todd
It will fit but you will have to turn the foot to the side and the lens hood must be reversed. It's tight even after doing those steps. We recommend the Lowepro ProTactic TLZ 75 AW Convertible Camera Bag https://bhpho.to/3H3iEjN . You'll just have to reverse the lens hood to put it in the bag.
