Outfit your home or pro studio with the Auray BA-XE4, a sturdy, two-section broacast boom arm that supports broadcast-style microphones up to 3.5 lb. With its integrated 10' XLR cable and virtually noiseless operation, this boom arm will come in handy for podcasting or radio-style broadcasting.

The BA-XE4 sports a spring design engineered to provide maximal support to microphones. It provides plenty of range for positioning. Use the standard 5/8"-27 mic mount to acommodate most shockmounts and mic clips, and reposition the angle of the mount at will. When you've got it just right, you can lock it in place with the locking knob.

In addition to the included XLR cable, the BA-XE4 ships with two types of clamps. Use the C-clamp for temporary installations, or use the tabletop flange mount for a permanent installation on a broadcast station or podium.

Lightweight Steel Construction
The BA-XE4's steel construction makes it a sturdy, reliable, and durable studio accessory.
Support Mics up to 3.5 lb
This sturdy broadcast arm can support mics up to 3.5 pounds, which is plenty of strength to hold a Rode Podcaster, or the Senal SCM-660 and a shockmount.
Integrated XLR Cable
A 10' XLR mic cable is integrated into the arm to minimize cable clutter, so you don't have to go through the hassle of threading and weaving a cable through the arm. This makes mic setup and attachment fast and easy.
Smooth, Noise-Free Operation
The arm is designed to move noiselessly and minimize handling noise when you're readjusting the mic or swiveling it over to another person. Repositioning the microphone will not interrupt or compromise your audio.
5/8-27 Threaded Microphone Mount
The industry-standard 5/8-27 threaded microphone mount is compatible with most shockmounts and microphone clips.
Wide Range of Motion
An extension of up to 38" and the ability to rotate the arm 360° allow for precise microphone placement. And once you've put your mic in an optimal position, you can be sure it stays there, because the ergonomic locking knobs give you plenty of torque to tighten and fix the mic's position.
Mounting Options
The BA-XE4 broadcast arm comes with options of convenient temporary mounting or more permanent installation. The included C-clamp is for temporary and movable fastening to a desktop or workstation. The flange mount screws into a flat surface for permanent installation on a broadcast station or podium.
Compatible Products
The BA-XE4 will work with nearly any broadcast-style microphone weighing up to 3.5 lb. It is especially compatible with microphones such as the Senal SC-550X Professional Cardioid Condenser Microphone, the UB-440 Professional USB Microphone, and the SCM-660 Large-Diaphragm Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone. You can also use the PCR-65 Cardioid Condenser Microphone, RM-650 Large Diaphragm Condenser Microphone, RM-800 Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone, and more.

This Arms has been Solid, I am also one the people who won't sit still in their chairs and like to eat their mic. So, I tend to move it Alot, and I fold it Back down when not using it to save space. Mic Used: PreSonus PD-70 Mic Weight: 2.35 lbs I have been using this for over 2 Weeks at the time of the Review.

I received this product in exchange for my honest review. For years I’ve used the cheap $15 scissor arms that come with the kits for starters. Those arms creak and squeak and don’t stay mounted. The Auray BA-XE4 is a great upgrade from those. It holds 3.5 lbs and supports the MC-Pod mic or most handheld dynamic mics. The Polsen M-85 works well with it too. The Auray BA-XE4 can be mounted with a clamp or permanently with a screw on base that is included. The arm is quiet if you need to adjust during recoding and the mic mount is a 5/8 threaded so no step up adapter is needed. My favorite feature of the Auray BA-XE4 is the integrated XLR mic cable. The cable is hidden inside the frame and cable management isn’t an issue. With my old arm, I was constantly messing with cable ties but not anymore. Check out this scissor arm in action by searching for “techmundane” on YouTube. The review is the MC-Pod Mic Kit on my channel.

Really fine value for the money. Like most Auray stuff, very intuitive to put together and dummy-proof. Also like most Auray stuff, not the single sturdiest thing in the world-- once we added our Rode mic, pop shield, and housing for it, the arm is a bit over-burdened (I think it is supposed to hold 3.5 lbs, which is not immense). But still, gets the job done, overall a recommend.

Affordable and Sturdy

This is an excellent studio option for the budget-conscious user while still having the features desired like quieting the microphone from knocks on the work surface and so on. Swings away silently most of the time despite the Luxo-lamp-like springs. The only achilles heel here appears to be the tension clamp at the mic head end that does require some over-tightening to get it to become compliant. Bonus features: You can adjust how much XLR cable is at each joint and at the mic head to fit whichever bit of tech you've chosen for your workstation. It also comes with a more permanent base (with some self-tapping screws) option than just the clamp-on option.

I'm sorry, I should have clarified my last question - I was asking if the stud/spigot that mounts to the base clamp is 5/8" in width? I'm planning on using a different clamp with a 5/8" receiver. (BH#SACSGC) Thank you.
Asked by: Kenji
The base stud/spigot is not specified.
