I use it in all my projects. For added security, I use a tripod. The only thing I should mention is that it's for a 15-inch laptop. It's sturdy, so I don't recommend using it with a flash stand.
Simple design but not perfect

I bought this because it was inexpensive but it would have been better to spend a little more money and get something that works a little better. The size barely works with my 14 Macbook Pro but the worst feature is that it wobbles. For some strange reason, the platform doesn't screw down all the way onto the stand so I had to figure out some sort of O-ring or rubber washer to put around the screw mount so the platform doesn't wobble, not perfect by any means. I might be able to find an adapter to help but didn't have time on the first try.
