We bought this to use in our salon for a clean background for taking after photos of color and haircuts. We had borrowed a friend's to try of a different brand and new We wanted one of our own. After researching I discovered this company and learned background quality makes a difference when catching shadows or in this case NOT catching shadows in your photos as well as how the white picks up light in your photo. This back drops as exceeded our expectations. We no longer have shadows, we have a crisp white background for our social media post and the stand is super sturdy and smooth to roll out. It stores so easily too. I highly recommend.

Had previously been dragging along seamless paper (a pain) and also sometimes a pop up background (quicker, easier but not quite wide enough). Got this and it's the best of all worlds in my opinion. Perfectly smooth, not crazy reflective and easy to set up. A little bit bulky with some weight, but not crazy. I do wish it was about 6 taller but I'll manage. All in all very happy with it.

Can this be draped over a table easily? I want to photograph pottery on a white surface and have a white background

This type of screen pulls up from the bottom. It is not intended to be used over a table in the manner you would a sweep. For what you describe you may want something like the Westcott X-Drop Kit (5 x 7', White) B&H # WE577K MFR # 577K or the Savage Background Port-A-Stand Kit BH #SABGSPASQ which we sell.

Impact Pro Rapid Portable Background (White, 5 x 7') is up to 7' tall so anyone over 6 ft would present itself to be a somewhat of a challenge to photograph within the backdrop borders.

Has anyone ever tried projecting an image onto the white to be photographed behind a client? IYO: Would it look convincing?

The Impact Pro Rapid Portable Background (5 x 7', White) BH #IMRBSPW57 was not meant for projecting images. You would have better results using a greenscreen.

Thank you for your answer. I think the YouTube video explaining the pro version refers to the old version of this background which used to have a black finish on the back. I am wondering if the new version without the black finish on the back is effective for preventing backlight to be visible specially if you place it in front of a window?
