It cycles through them. Usually gets about 2 hours and 10 minutes on 3 LP-E6 batts.

Is it possible to charge the batteries in the grip while powering the camera? Like, could I run a USB battery Bank into the grip to get even longer recording times?
It is not possible to charge the batteries in the power grip you will need to take the batteries out of the battery grip to recharge them.
You can extend your cameras recording time by plugging in a USB power Bank. It will reduce the amount of power the camera pulls from the battery grip which will enable the camera to run for a longer period of time.
