With a 5K (5120 x 2880) screen resolution, this iMac provides one billion colors and 500 nits of brightness. The Retina 5K display also features the wider P3 color gamut, which provides a larger color space that shifts away from standard white LEDs to red-green phosphor LEDs that more equally represent red, green, and blue. And with more available colors, the images will appear more vivid and reveal greater detail, with more balance and precision. The display is further enhanced by True Tone technology for a more natural viewing experience

The iMac's processor has been upgraded and now houses an 10th Gen 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5 6-Core processor that can be overclocked up to 4.5 GHz, as well as 8GB of 2666 MHz DDR4 RAM in a 2 x 4GB configuration that can be upgraded to 128GB by using an 32GB module in each of the four SO-DIMM slots. Visuals are powered by a dedicated AMD Radeon Pro 5300 graphics card with 4GB of GDDR6 video memory, and for storage, there is a 256GB PCIe SSD.

Outfitted with Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and backwards compatible with 802.11a/b/g/n for speedy hook-ups to your home network, this iMac is also configured with Bluetooth 5.0, as well as a UHS-II SDXC card slot, two 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 3 ports, four 5 Gb/s USB 3.0 Type-A ports, a Gigabit Ethernet jack, and a 1080p FaceTime HD camera. It also has a Kensington lock slot for added security.

Apple's 27" iMac with Retina 5K Display operates using 100-240 VAC at 50-60 Hz and includes an Apple Magic Keyboard, an Apple Magic Mouse 2, a Lightning to USB Type-A cable, and a power cord. Protection is provided by 90 days of complimentary technical support and a limited 1-year warranty, which can be extended by purchasing AppleCare+ for Mac.

Storage

All-flash SSD storage is now standard on all iMac models, bringing high capacity and lightning speed. The 27" iMac can now be configured with up to 8TB of SSD storage with up to 3.4 GB/s sequential read and write speeds, for screaming-fast access to all of your photo and video libraries, massive files, and pro apps.

Camera, Speakers, and Mics

From crystal clear video calls and voice recordings to music and movies that fill the room, iMac is an all-star for communications and content. The 27" iMac now features a 1080p FaceTime HD camera and a studio-quality three-mic array. And the T2 chip acts in concert with the speakers to enable variable EQ and an enhanced bass response, so all your content can have big, balanced high-fidelity sound.

Apple T2 Security Chip

The Apple T2 Security Chip comes to the 27" iMac, with a Secure Enclave coprocessor that provides the foundation for secure boot and encrypted storage capabilities. The T2 chip also enables powerful features like the 1080p FaceTime HD camera, face detection, enhanced speaker bass response, and "Hey Siri" - and makes transcoding HEVC video up to twice as fast as the previous generation.

Connectivity

Every iMac features two superfast Thunderbolt 3 (USB Type-C) ports and four USB 3.0 Type-A ports, giving you plenty of high-performance options for connecting external drives, cameras, displays, and more. All iMac models come with a 1Gb Ethernet port, and now you can configure the 27" iMac with 10Gb Ethernet for up to 10 times the throughput of the previous generation. There is also Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and Bluetooth 5.0, so you're instantly connected to your favorite content and wireless devices.
