The column base has a diameter of 1.5" and an integrated 3/8"-16 threaded socket, and the top platform features a spring-loaded 3/8"-16 threaded tip that can be slid down to reveal a 1/4"-20 threaded tip, making it compatible with virtually any tripod head.

I bought this to extend the total length of my current monopod. I didn’t want to spend the money on buying a whole new monopod. It’s very well made, as one would expect from Leofoto. It does extend the closed length of my monopod a bit as well, of course, but it has accomplished exactly what I was hoping it would for a lot less money.
