Alfatron CAM200 Overview

Designed with a wide 96° field of view, the CAM200 1080p Webcam with Built-In Microphone from Alfatron can capture small meetings or gatherings in Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams, or other conferencing software. The plug-and-play webcam is compatible with Windows, Mac, Android, and Linux, it outputs MJPEG and YUY2 video encoding formats, and it connects to the host via its USB Type-C connector.

The CAM200 features a 2.1MP image sensor that provides crisp, clear images with resolutions of up to 1920 x 1080p at 30 fps. It includes many image control features such as auto focus, automatic white balance, auto exposure, automatic gain control, and automatic backlight compensation, and it features a far focus range of 9.8'. It also features integrated dual stereo microphones with 180° pickup patterns for high-quality, full-duplex audio transmission.

Fantastic USB webcam. Upgrade from built in laptop camera

I was looking for an upgrade for my built-in webcam (HP laptop about 5 years old), but I wanted something with a wider viewing angle and better image quality. This unit was plug and play (it uses a standard USB connection on the computer side and a Type C connector on the camera side). I liked the fact that the cable was not simply attached to the camera since I could replace the cable in the future if necessary. The CAM-200 showed up in Zoom as a camera option immediately (I had to close out of Zoom and re-open it, but that's it) and I did not need to download any drivers...It just worked. As far as image quality, it was a big upgrade from my built-in camera, much clearer, with better color rendering, and the field of view was much wider. It also reacted much better to strong light sources coming from behind me (my built-in cam would often wash out when sunlight was coming in from a window directly behind me). The clip mount is just OK, it certainly works fine, but it takes a little adjusting. The unit also has a threaded shoe mount on the bottom which is handy if you want to mount it on a small tripod.  Packaging was nice and B&H kept updating me on the order as this was initially back ordered. All in all, very happy with the product/purchase experience.
