BlueParrott B450-XT Reviews

Excellent

I purchased this when it came out originally around 2018ish and I have taken care of it as best as possible when working at home or behind the wheel. There is a lot of FAFO out there and what I like about this specific version is that it has an excellent microphone and the will work with all blue tooth devices with a range that I have confirmed in direct line of sight around the 270' to 300' in high noise environments. So it is about time to upgrade since this original one is beginning to wear out which is expected but for me the performance of the 450 XT has been excellent.

So-so far

Had a 350 before, which had better range, if I got out of range from my phone such walking to back of trailer 45' it will disconnect, when I get near the phone my 350 would tell me it reconnected, the 450 doesn't, you have to push the answer button. When you get an incoming call it tells you who is calling, problem you have to wait for the entire recording to finish before it will respond to your voice and answer. The headband is expand from the ear side and is stiffer than the 350. Not very impressed so far

Can the push to talk button be used as a toggle ...

Can the push to talk button be used as a toggle to transmit? In other words, can you push the button once on the headset, talk for the duration you need to, and then push the button again to stop transmitting? Or will we need to continually hold the push to talk button to transmit?
Asked by: David
You would need to hold the push to talk button to transmit. Please review the manufacture's link below. https://www.blueparrott.com/support-page/blueparrott-button
