Production sound mixer since 2010. Pros: Cable seems durable. Plugs in and locks with no problem to my Sennheiser G3 Tx. Directionality is good. Cons: pretty noisy. The signal-to-noise ratio isn't good, so there's very much an audible white noise/hiss when set to gain appropriate for speech. What can you expect from a $20 mic? The mic clip also cannot rotate, so the mic can only be mounted perpendicular to the clip; not good if you need to clip onto a horizontal edge of clothing. Good to know: this is NOT a mic to use hidden. It's on the larger side and also the cable length is too short for rigging the Tx any lower than the waist. Would only recommend for presentation speech, unhidden, and that's IF you're ok with the noise.

They work fine, but the pictures don't accurately convey how large the microphone is. The mic is much larger than the other mics in my stock and it better suited to interviews or lectures where hiding the mic isn't a priority. The price can't be beat though.

This mic has a 3,5mm locking connector so it may not connect properly or securely to the input on a Rode Wireless GO II transmitter. It would be better to use a different mic that has a standard non-locking 3.5mm connector, such as the Polsen OLM-10 (B&H # POOLM10) or Polsen PL-4 (B&H # POPL4) to assure compatibility and prevent problems like having the mic accidentally disconnect or create noise from improper connection at the input.

On its own, the Polsen Cardioid Lavalier Microphone with 3.5mm Locking Connector for Sennheiser and Polsen UWM Transmitters is not compatible for direct connection to the Zoom H4n Pro, however, it can be used with an adapter to enable compatibility. The RODE VXLR+ 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male Adapter with Phantom Power Converter (B&H # ROVXLRP) will attach to the locking 3,5mm connector on the Polsen mic and enable connection via XLR, as well as to convert phantom power (48V) from the H4n Pro to the proper amount of plug-in power fo the mic.
