The SHAPE Sony a7R IV Offset Shoulder Mount Rig protects your camera and provides multiple accessory mounting points while improving ergonomics and creating an offset shoulder-mounted solution that places the camera directly in front of you. It features a CNC-machined aluminum cage designed specifically for your camera, and it includes a cable clamp to help prevent accidental pullouts and a push button-activated top handle.
The top handle features 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded mounting holes, as well as cold shoe mounts, for attaching accessories. The included baseplate is height adjustable for compatibility with non-standard lens accessories, and it incorporates 15mm rod clamps for use with the included 15mm support rods. Two pairs of rods are included, 10 and 12", which along with the included offset bracket, allow you to put the weight of the camera on your shoulder while placing the camera directly in front.
The shoulder pad attaches easily to the rods, cushioning the camera on your shoulder, and the back pad provides you an anchor point that helps prevent the support from shifting forward. The included handles also mount on the 15mm rods and feature the same push-button technology found on the included top handle, allowing you to quickly change the orientation of the handles without having to let go of the grip, instead of having to loosen locking levers to adjust the position and then tighten them down.
The Sony a7R IV Cage with 15mm LWS Rod System from SHAPE protects your camera without blocking access to any of your camera's features, functions, ports, or compartments. The included top handle mounts securely to the top of the cage and features Shape's well-known push-button spring release system, which makes it easy to adjust the orientation of the top handle. The top handle features multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded accessory mounting holes, some with anti-twist divots, and two cold shoes for mounting accessories.
The QR baseplate system features 15mm rod clamps, includes a pair of 10" long 15mm rods, and has two 3/8"-16 and three 1/4"-20 threaded holes for tripod mounting. The baseplate is also height adjustable to help account for a variety of lens accessories. The cage has multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded mounting points along the sides and top of the cage, which allow you to attach accessories without stressing your camera's body. Each threaded mounting point has ARRI-compatible anti-twist divots, allowing you to use a variety of available accessories. An integrated cold shoe lets you mount traditional accessories such as a microphone or on-camera light while still having access to the other accessory mounting points.
An included detachable cable clamp enables securing cables, including an optional HDMI cable, to the left side of your camera. A slotted D-ring screw allows you to easily mount the clamp without tools. The camera attaches to the cage with a 1/4"-20 Allen head screw, and the bottom of the cage features a single 3/8"-16 and multiple 1/4"-20 threaded screw holes for mounting to a tripod or other camera platform.
This pair of 15mm Aluminum Rods from SHAPE connects to your camera rig, extending it and letting you add compatible accessories. With these two rods and a few fundamental accessories, you can begin building your own rig from scratch.
The rods are each 15mm in diameter, 12" long, hollow, non-threaded, and made of reliable aluminum with a silver finish.
The Shape Quick Handle + Rod Block is a professional video stabilization accessory with 2 camera handles, each providing an individual rotation angle of 360°. You can attach the handle to the camera platform using a simple screw knob. A simple push button located at the articulation allows easy attachment and removal.
Combined with the anodized aluminum Rod Block, the Quick Handle offers composite camera support for all 15mm rods. You can achieve precise positioning by sliding the Quick Handle along the rods and tightening the small red knob located on the Rod Block. With 2 screw-threaded holes, the Rod Block provides for attachment of components such as the Quick Handle.
The SHAPE Mini Composite Shoulder Pad is a comfort-padded and comfort-shaped shoulder pad for the back of your camera rig. Outfitted with a 15mm-mount SHAPE Rod Block, the pad attaches right onto a pair of 15mm rods, slides into the best position on them, and tightens in place by a quality lever. It also has a black Screw Knob under which you can add a SHAPE Counter Weight or a SHAPE Back Pad, both optional and both back-supported accessories that work as extensions of the shoulder pad. The Screw Knob's screw is a 1/4"-20 screw. If you remove the Screw Knob, you'll have yourself a 1/4"-20 screw-hole to add various 1/4"-20-mount accessories into.
The Back Pad from SHAPE is a standard rig component included with most SHAPE camera rigs. Its design features a powder coated anodized aluminum plate and arm which are attached to a thick padding on the side facing the user. The pad is easy to both attach and remove from your rig, and it supports the SHAPE BOX attachment. Additionally, the pad's position can be adjusted to the user's preference – up to 2" vertically and 360° horizontally.
