The Sony a7R IV Shoulder Mount Kit with Matte Box and Follow Focus from SHAPE is a production-ready package with accessories for your a7R IV camera. The included cage protects your camera without blocking access to any of its features, functions, ports, or compartments. The kit includes a shoulder mount system with push-button release system, handgrips, shoulder pad, and back pad to stabilize your camera. It also includes a top handle, 15mm LWS baseplate with support rods, a single-sided follow focus unit, and a 4 x 5.65" matte box. The top handle features SHAPE's well-known push-button spring release system, which makes it easy to adjust the orientation of the top handle, and it features multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded accessory mounting holes, some with anti-twist divots, and two cold shoes for mounting accessories.
The height-adjustable quick release baseplate system features 15mm rod clamps, includes a pair of 10" long 15mm rods, and has two 3/8"-16 and three 1/4"-20 threaded holes for tripod mounting. The rods provide support for the single-sided follow focus unit that comes with five drive gears for use with a variety of lenses, a focus whip, and crank. The 4 x 5.65" rotating 2-stage matte box can be used as a clip-on matte box for lenses with an 82 or 114mm outer diameter, or as a rod-mounted matte box. It includes side flags, as well as a top flag.
Use the compact SHAPE Follow Focus Kit with Single 15mm Rod Clamp with your camera setup to make focus pulling easy. The modular design allows you to add and remove any of the components without screws or tools, and its small profile allows the addition of a matte box or accessories around your lens.
At the core of the kit is a rubber, anti-slip follow focus wheel attached to a single aluminum 15mm rod clamp. The clamp rotates to adjust to most lens sizes, and it's tightened by a locking lever. The clamp's rotation also allows the focus wheel to easily swing out of the way when changing lenses.
Five drive gears are included to fit a variety of lens sizes: 0.5 MOD/78T, 0.6 MOD/64T, 0.8 MOD/38T, 0.8 MOD/43T, and 0.8 MOD/78T. The gears can be flipped from front to back to facilitate different lens configurations. A 49mm rubber friction wheel is also included for the 0.5 MOD/78T gear which is most commonly used with DSLR lenses.
For alternate fine-focus configurations, use the included speed crank or 11" whip, both of which attach to the center point of the knob. Four magnetic marking disks are included to attach to the focus wheel.
The SHAPE 2-Stage 4 x 5.6" Clip-On and 15mm LWS Rod-Mounted Matte Box provides filmmakers flare and glare protection when creating their images, whether in a minimal configuration or on a large studio shoot. The matte box can be used either as a clip-on matte box when not using rods or with 15mm LWS rod supports, providing you the flexibility to use the same matte box in either shooting situation. The matte box comes with 114 and 84mm clip-on adapter rings.
The matte box features two rotating 4 x 5.6" filter stages, ideal for use with polarizers, grad, and effect filters. The two included 4 x 5.65" filter holders feature a spring-latch system to hold your filters securely, and each filter stage has a locking knob that enables you to precisely set the height of your filter in the stage. The matte box accepts lenses with a front diameter up to 114mm, and it includes an 82mm filter ring. It comes with six step-down rings that allow you to use lenses with an outer diameter of 52, 58, 62, 67, 72, and 77mm, preventing light from sneaking past the lens from behind the camera and degrading your image.
