What can I say? I touched it only once while unpacking. The far in the future the second time the better my experience with it :)

In my 40+ years of computing, Western Digital has proven to me that they stand behind their products on the few occasions when I needed to use the warranty. This is my first time using their RED series and I look forward to a reliable experience.

RE: MFR #WDBAVV0060HNC-WRSN received June 2021. Although MFR boxed part number is the same as order placed last year, part in the box is newer. Smart data shows drive in the box as WD60EFZX-68B3FN0.

I am working on replacing 6x4TB Pluses and 2x4TB Pros with 8x of these 6TB Pluses. These are setup as striped mirrored pairs (4 pairs) for maximum performance on a TrueNAS SCALE node. ISCSI performance over a 10gb network is acceptable. These drives have been very reliable and perform as rated. I would recommend these drives!

I purchased four of these for my Synology NAS. One that came with my system didn't work, so I returned it to B&H for a quick refund and purchased a new one. The replacement worked like a charm and is now a part of my NAS system.

Defective unit

I bought 4 units and unfortunately one of them was defective. We paid more for a HDD for NAS for the reliability, but it's what I have the least at that moment, confidence. I'm already imagining the hassle of formatting the NAS again. Also, I found out that the Worldwide Warranty isn't all that worldwide, as I'm in another country and found out that WD doesn't support products purchased in other countries.
