The headset allows for three different listening modes. Instead of having to remove the entire headset to check sounds in the environment, the user can simply remove one or both of the earphones. The headset comes with an XLR-4F connector, which is suitable for Clear-Com systems.

CIEMs have the MMCX connector, you can simply snap them on. If they use a different type of connector then you'll want to remove and replace the whole cable assembly.

In a nutshell, CM-i3-PH has a dynamic microphone which is passive and therefore does not need bias power (or phantom power.)
