It's a charger. It does the job. I was pleased that it includes a nice long cord and a case that has cable-passthrough and can be used to hang the charge brick from a stand. Excellent!

When you buy the Nanlite packs they do not come with enough power adapters for each light. While you may think it's no big deal at first you will quickly realize they take a while to charge and each having its own cuts down on charging time. Also, the time they last is not that great so having power adapters will be needed.

The Nanlite Power Adapter for Pavotube 30C barrel size is 5.5mm with a 2.5mm post.
Note, it is best to use the one made specific for the light. It will prevent any compatibility issues.
