With a working range of 8" to 16.4', the ring light features a dual flash tube design with the ability to fire both tubes simultaneously, one at a time, or at separate power levels in 1/2-stop increments to create a light-to-dark ratio. Recycling time is 0.1 to five seconds with four separately-purchased AA batteries that give you 100 to 800 flashes. An optional external battery pack is available to increase flash capacity. Meike has made it possible to use a wide variety of lenses with the inclusion of 52, 55, 58, 62, 67, 72, and 77mm adapter rings. A leather carrying case is provided for storage and transport.

Finally a nice size ring light with sufficient power to shoot the smaller things I explore. A bit difficult, for me to figure out, as I got confused by the instructions. That's OK. Working great. Amazing power for the size and controllable for really up close shooting. Nice product and nice price.

It works fine for what it is...an inexpensive ring flash. It does flash but the settings are difficult to understand/apply. There are basically NO instructions with this flash...only a description of where the buttons/settings are but there is no guide on how to use this thing. Their website is useless and their YouTube channel/video for this unit is basically a bunch of unintelligible nonsense...no help there. When the adapter(s) & flash are attached to the lens they continually & freely rotate out of desired position. I'm keeping it only due to the low cost.

The top portion of the MK-14EXT does not interfere when shooting very close to the subject.
