Live streaming options are not explicitly defined on this camera's specs. The FX6's Wi-Fi function enables remote monitoring and focus/iris/zoom control.

Could anyone kindly measure precisely, in inches or mm, the diameter of the Sony mic meant to fit the FX6's mic clamp? Thanks!
Asked by: Dave
If you are using a mic with the Sony FX6 or many other cameras, and it is loose or wobbling, we recommend using spacer rings. The rings will fix any space issues that can occur with microphone mounts like the Fx6's mic Mount. Sanken ROCS Rubber O-Rings for CS-1 (10) BH #SAROCS https://bhpho.to/3BFnNxi

You can mount E lenses that are inherently full frame and get the full 4K performance or if using S35 coverage, you will be limited to HD format only.

Will the shoe on the handle work with the SMAD-P3D so I can use my URX-P03D dual channel receiver?
Asked by: frederick
No the SMAD-P3D will not work with the FX6. When you slide the Multi-Interface Shoe adapter in the shoe mount on the handle, there will be a box that will pop up on the screen that says unsupported device detected.

Can the LCD Monitor be adjusted to a different location on the camcorder?
Asked by: Derek
Yes, according to Sony’s product page at https://www.sony.com/electronics/professional-video-cameras/ilme-fx6, which says, “The 3.5-inch LCD screen allows precise manual focusing in challenging shooting conditions. Flexible positioning of both mounting locations and angles allows comfortable shooting to suit varied preferences and rigging.” One of the product images accessible from the “View Product” link at the top of that page also shows the LCD mounted to an alternate location near the rear of the camera body, without the top handle attached.

Is REC trigger possible through TC in/out port? ...

Is REC trigger possible through TC in/out port? Do I have to jam sync timecode everytime I power the camera? I am looking to use this with Mixpre ii audio recorder.
Asked by: Dongjoo
The MixPre II gets triggered through it's HDMI input and the FX6 can be set up to send a record trigger from it's SDI and HDMI outputs (page 106 of the FX6 user manual), so yes it is possible, just not through the timecode BNC connector. The camera retains timecode when off and I even removed the battery for 12 hours and it didn't lose much (haven't done a proper test yet, so can't say how many frames). Be careful if you use S&Q because that will mess up your sync and you'll need to rejam when you go back into your base frequency. I also tried with a Tentacle connected and the FX6 rejammed itself to the Tentacle when I came out of S&Q, so keeping your MixPre connected should keep them in sync, but do test it to see how it behaves with your specific kit.
