Patriot P210 Internal SSD Reviews
They Work, and the Price is Right.
I bought these drives as part of a media server for video and music on a Raspberry Pi. I'm not asking a lot of them, and they work fine. They were the least expensive 2TB SSDs I could find that weren't an obvious scam, so the price was right.
Fast Performance with Great Value
This SSD Drive brings new technology performance at a affordable price. The reliability and size make it a must buy!
Works Great!
I've never heard of Patriot as a drive manufacturer. I liked the price, saw it was manufactured in Taiwan and figured give it a go! I know Samsung is the king of SSDs, but $50 for a 1TB that's just as good is well worth the investment. I think I've found a new option in brand name SSDs!
Future Proofing Storage
Installed 2 of these, the first factor that helped in organizing my library of multimedia files.
Not fast
Will not work on usb. Us, not enough power. Only slightly faster than hard drives.
Great value
It performs as expected and you cannot beat the price point for this ssd compared to every other out there
Terrible write speed but okay read speed
Unacceptable write speed even with the 2TB variant when the drive is 90% full. Invest in a Micron or Samsung drive unless you only need it for read-only purposes (such as gaming).
Dead after 1 month
I bought this drive to replace the hard drive in my desktop. Delivered 1st December, on January 4th (34 days later) it is dead. Computer will not boot. I had noticed it running slower for several days before it died but only now realize that was probably the system struggling to cope with the SSD starting to fail. This was in a desktop with plenty of space around the drive for cooling. Only time the drive was worked hard was copying my files from the original HDD. Best to find another brand.
