At their core is a Gen 3W intensifier tube for a bright, sharp image. For circumstances where there is no ambient light to intensify, the PS31 unit is equipped with an illuminator that shines near-invisible infrared light, which allows the intensifier tube to create an image. Automatic brightness control accounts for varying light conditions, and bright light cut-off protects the tube from damage caused by unexpected exposure to light. The 22.5mm objective lenses and f/1.18 lens system deliver a 50° field of view to help you spot what's out there quickly.
Built to withstand the rigors of use in less than ideal conditions, the fiberglass reinforced polycarbonate housing is sealed to be IP65 water resistant and has a wide operating temperature range of -59 to 120°F. A helmet mount is included for hands-free use and works with the device's flip-up and side flip-up on/off feature.
