Musical Premium Phono EQ
The MODEL 30 is designed to deliver optimal sound quality by simplifying the signal path in the Phono EQ stage, allowing it to be used with both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges, thanks also to a built-in MC head amplifier. This design helps lower distortion, which is why the phono stage uses two-stage amplification, combining Marantz HDAMs with JFETs in the input stage for high input impedance. This allows the non-negative-feedback design to be further simplified by the deletion of coupling capacitors, further reducing distortion and enhancing signal quality.
MC/MM Phono Input Impedance Selector
To help optimize sound performance when using a turntable, and to accommodate as many configurations as possible, the MODEL 30 is equipped with a phono input impedance selector. Input impedances can be adjusted to MC LOW (33 ohms), MC MID (100 ohms), and MC HIGH (390 ohms).

The solid chassis is constructed from non-magnetic aluminum panels and a rigid steel top cover to help mitigate external interference. Brass-machined independent input terminals for CD and Phono, plus nickel-plated speaker terminals help ensure the best signal possible.
