This 25mm Ball Adapter Monitor Mount for SmallHD On-Camera Monitors from Ultralight is specifically designed to work with select SmallHD monitors with a rear-mounted 1/4"-20 threaded hole with locating divots. The ball fits into a variety of popular articulating arms that use removable 25mm ball joints, allowing you to use the arms with your SmallHD monitor.
The locating pins interface with the divots on the monitor, locking your monitor to the mount, preventing the monitor from twisting or spinning loose on the mount. Please note, this mount is designed for the SmallHD monitor mounting system and is not compatible with the ARRI anti-twist system.

Ultralight AC-SHD Reviews
Pins too long
I agree with the comments of Mathias. One pin was less recessed than the other and I had to press it in further with a bench vise to get them level. Still, the pins are slightly too long - even pressed all the way in - for some of my 702 Touch's mounting positions. It works fine on the rear mount, but not on the side mounts.
Expected more from ULS
Build quality is lesser than the usual ULS products. The ball and the normal part of it is just as high quality as everything else from ULS but the locking pins/entire locking mechanism is not. On my unit the two locking pins were different heights, and not fully round. I got it working, but had to squeeze one of the pins together properly to make it fit the locking pin holed on the monitor. The wings on the bolt is plastic, and that came off while trying to tighten it. Luckily its a normal 3/8 hex beneath, so that worked out fine. After fully securing it a drop of super glue fixed the plastic in place, and now it works as intended. Also, a little heads up - the locking pins fit smallhd standard, but not those combination pins on the accessory bars of cine/vision monitors
