Pretty much the same review as Nathan's. I trust very much Anton Bauer products, but this simply isn't working to power my Canon 7D body. I'll be returning it....

Not sure if I just got a defective one, but this cable does not work. My intended use is one advertised by the product- powering a SmallHD 502 monitor via P tap from a gold mount battery. When I first opened the cable from it's packaging and connected it, my monitor turned on. When I switched the dummy battery to the second battery mount on the monitor, my monitor would not turn on. From this point on the cable has simply not worked. My old LP-E6 to P tap cable still works fine when connected. Besides the fact that it doesn't work, the connections on both the LP-E6 and P tap sides feel very secure. I'm hoping this one that I picked up is simply defective, because usually Anton Bauer makes great products. It would be a shame if it didn't work as advertised.

The Canon EOS R5 C is listed as a compatible camera. Does this adapter supply the correct current and voltage to enable the use of the recording modes requiring a power source other than the standard Canon LP-E6NH battery (e.g. 8K RAW at 60p)?

The Anton Bauer Regulated P-Tap to LP-E6 Dummy Battery Cable (20") (B&H# ANPCRDLEB) is indeed for any current (as of April 2022) camera that accepts the Canon LP-E6, LP-E6N, or LP-E6NH battery for power. That includes the Canon EOS R5 C Mirrorless Cinema Camera (B&H# CAER5C). However, as you have noted, the R5 C requires an additional power in order to shoot video in some modes. That electricity (which must be high power and typically PD-compliant) must be provided through the USB C port. Since this cable connects to the battery chamber (rather than to the USB C port) it will not provide any power there at all and therefore cannot enable high power shooting modes.
