My FX6 with a FE PZ 28-135 lens and several accessories fits perfectly in this bag.

Nice camera bag

Very durable. Well made. Able to keep my canon 400 mm prime lens attached to camera in it which is what I was looking for to just pull out and take photos rather than always having to attach lens to camera like in smaller bags. Worth the price

Lots of room!

Perfect amount of space for all my gear of a particular brand. Maintains Domke's quality - I have or have had a boatload of Domke gear for many years. My only nitpicky complaint about this bag is the four-point carry handle which I think is uncomfortable to actually use and I got another Domke carry handle to use that is great.

I was looking at the other brand but decided to buy this bag and I didn't regret it. Well-made, lots of storage and nice colour.

Some people prefer backpacks, but for those looking for a larger shoulder bag this is excellent. The canvas feels tough and long lasting. Lot's of compartments, pockets. If I move the centre piece to the end, I can fit my Nikon Z9 with the 100-400mm S lens, even with a 1.4x TC attached. It's not cheap but very useful.

I love this bag. It is what I have been looking for. Bigger than expected and well worth the investment.

My favorite bag

Years ago, when I was shooting with my F4, my old Domke bag was my constant companion. I actually wore it out to where it had done its time. This bag is larger, and holds my two Df bodies and my favorite lenses perfectly. Glad to have my kit back home!

My Favorite Bag for 4x5 Toyo Setup

I used to own a blue Domke Little Bit Bigger bag. My favorite use was for my Toyo 4x5 camera. The only thing I didn't like about it, it would lean over to one side while sitting on the floor, whether it was fill or empty. I will probably buy another one one day.

Canvas is made of cotton. When canvas gets wet, the cotton swells and becomes watertight. That is why canvas tents shed water. Water will soak in as it begins to pool in the nooks and crannies of the bag exterior. However, I have never had water damage equipment in a Domke bag. Not in Cambodia, Thailand, Costa Rica, Haiti, Zambia, or the Pacific Northwest. Phil

The olive version has different interior dimensions in the specs than the other colors - which are accurate?
Asked by: Anonymous
I have an older (25 years older) version and the interiors seem very close in size. I have not put a tape to it, but they look the same.

Does the top cover zipper closed or is it just a flap? I work around debris filled environments and like a zipped closure.
Asked by: Kevin
The Domke F2 bag has a zippered pouch inside the flap. The pouch is nearly the size of the entire flap. The outer canvas of the flap is lined with Cordura-like material. The canvas is relatively water proof since cotton canvas swells when wet. I have probably used up a dozen or so Domke bags over the years—they are very sturdy, but using them to carry heavy video equipment (five-pound batteries, etc.) eventually cuts through the canvas when dragging the bags in and out of trains, planes, and automobiles—ships and submarines too. If you plan to carry the bag on your shoulder all day, the F2 is the largest you should go. The F2 has an outer pocket on each end large enough to hold a Stephen King paperback novel, closed with a velcroed flap. There is an exterior pouch on the back large enough for an iPad Pro. There are two open pockets on the front that have no individual flaps, but that are secured by the top flap when it is clipped shut. Each is just a bit smaller than a typical paperback novel. Inside, a padded board is fit in, covering the bottom. A strip of velcro is sewed along the two long sides. A padded Cordura four section set of pockets, each large enough to hold a moderately sized full frame lens (eight inches by three inches) can be attached to the velcro strips sewed to the sides. There will also be space inside at one end for a DSLR or mirrorless camera with a moderately sized lens pointing up. If you have fast lenses or long zooms, two of the four padded cells may need to remain empty. I would keep chargers and extra batteries in an end pocket, filters in the side pockets; documents, flash memory toothbrush & toothpaste, and medication in the zippered pocket. Phil

I LOVE this bag but hate the clips on the straps. Pinch my fingers, pinch my gloves and are just all around difficult to me. Does Domke make replacement straps with the more commonly used buckle release style fasteners?
Asked by: Brian
Not as far as I know. I have several Domke bags and have used them for years. Three of them have this style of clips and while I found them awkward at first I quickly got used to them and now they work fast and easily for me. But Domke does make other bags with a different style of clip -- see their Journalist, Metro, and Viewfinder series -- maybe you could call Domke customer service (there's a number on the Domke website) and ask if they could custom-make replacement straps for your bag with the other kind of clips.

What is the vertical height available in this bag? I can read the specs, but I can't tell which dimension - width or depth - is the vertical depth that will allow a zoom to be placed in it vertically. B&H: you should make the dimensions clearer.
Asked by: John
The vertical height is about 7 inches. However, I can get my 70200 F2 .8 in it standing up with some slight protrusion at the top. Hope this helps. Enter an answer to this question.
