The Sachtler aktiv6 has a 0-17.6 lb / 0-8 kg payload and 3 levels of drag settings, while the aktiv8 has a 0-26.5 lb / 0-12 kg payload and 7 levels of drag settings. Both heads feature 15 levels of counterbalance and a 75mm bowl with SpeedSwap base.

Does the standard Manfrotto mounting plate fit this head?
The Sachtler Aktiv8 does work with Manfrotto 2 wide, dovetail style plates. I personally use my 504HD heads plate with the Aktiv8.
The Aktiv8T uses the traditional Sachtler Touch and Go style square plate, so a Manfrotto dovetail plate would not work with the Aktiv8T. But with an Aktiv8, youre all good.
