You would be safe inserting a lens that has up to a 75mm diameter.

question

I need a bag to handle my D700 w/grip, 20 35 2.8 50 1.4 and a 70 210D lens plus a flash and acc. I don't have a camera store to go to and try out bags, I have to do a pig in a polk if it doesn't work I'm stuck or send it back.I'm currently using a 20 year old Domke F3X but not all will fit! is this, I can cram it all in but I have to remove many items to get where I want. I started using this bag back in the 90's in film, with digital over the years I use this and then it won't work just right and I try something else.I really like Domke. but I don't have the luxury of trying one out first? Why don't camera bag makers say what they will hold not just the measurements.

The Domke F-3X is not going to fit your gear. Unfortunately, it does not appear that any Domke bags will be able to accommodate this amount of equipment.

question

Does the interior lining of the bag cause camera (and lens hood) abrasion? i.e. Will the edges of a 5D-size camera get develop a worn/polished appearance from repeated removal and insertion of the camera into the bag? The reason I ask this is because the outside edges of my 350D have a very polished appearance after being in a Domke J803 bag for several years. I used a 3 section insert in that bag.

This issue should not happen with this specific bag. I have heard that issue on other models. but with different colors. I do not think you will have this issue.

question

Will the exterior back pocket fit an iPad?
Asked by: Daniel
We use an iPad Air2 and it will not fit into the back pocket and in any case there is not much protection especially as it will be rubbing against the body. Very happy with the product.

question

Will this bag hold dslr with 70-200 attached ?
Asked by: randy
Assuming you mean a 70-200 f/4, yes. However, my standard load is my Canon 7DII with 17-85 attached in the middle of the bag, and my 70-200 f/4L and 300 f/4L tele standing on end on either side. This rides really well.

question

I have many camera bags by a lot of manufacturers but it has been years since I used Domke. I have pretty bad arthritis in my fingers and was wondering if the metal closing clasp has been reworked to make it easier to open?
Asked by: ELLIOT S.
Honestly, I live and travel everywhere with my Domke's and have for 8 years. It's still the same metal, industrial clasps. They always last until the pocket bottoms wear out or the strap starts to badly fray. I love how strong they are but would recommend something different for your arthritis.
